First thoughts

Back home after a good weekend in Hull.

I finished first with over 221k/137 miles.

A fantastic race, from my point of view as an competitor, the best I've been involved with.

More details later ... still recovering.

About Me

I began running after watching the Munich Olympic Games (1972) on television. My first races were with the school cross country team and later I began running local road races (10k, half marathon, etc). After a few years of shin/calf injuries I entered the Robin Hood marathon in 2005 looking for a new challenge. Didn't enjoy it much but after finishing it occurred to me that it wasn't so hard really and to push myself I needed a completely different challenge. So I began running longer and entered the world of ultra running ...
